Really, if you're going to spend a few thousand on a watch, why not visit a centuries-old castle, meet the people who designed and built your watch, and enjoy some private label wine? Sounds pretty great, doesn't it? We think so too.For more details on Marvin's new European Delivery VIP Program, click here.

We strongly recommend you take a look at this watch soon because at a price of only $2250, this great and rare time piece will not last long.

If you didn't hear, the US beat England in the first round of World Cup action on Saturday (juuuuuust kidding, ProdigalGuide!). Germany squashed the Soccer-roos (sorry TheWatchLounge), and the Netherlands benefited from FratelloWatches and Monochrome coming off the bench to score two second Zenith Chronomaster El Primero T 40mm Chronomaster T Open XZE321 watches half goals to defeat Denmark. Clearly the world of watches, like the world of soccer, is as international as it gets. So, today, we will be showing you a soccer-themed watch. And it's not Maradona's Hublot.Coming from 1969 is the very rare and very cool Omega Seamaster Soccer timer. It is often referred to as a referee's watch because it features a distinct 45 minute timer and bright orange hands. There were a few different versions of the Zenith Chronomaster El Primero T 40mm Chronomaster T Open XZE321 watches Soccer timer made by Omega, with the most collectable being that with the roulette wheel inner rotating bezel. This particular model doesn't have that, but it does have a caliber 861 movement inside, which is the same as used in the venerable Speedmaster for many years. most Zenith Chronomaster El Primero T 40mm Chronomaster T Open XZE320 watches sought after diving watches in the world

Despites its "controversial" looks, it is now one of the most Zenith Chronomaster El Primero T 40mm Chronomaster T Open XZE320 watches sought after diving watches in the world, it is also considered by some afficianados as the ultimate tool watch. After all, it was designed with the help of Jacques Cousteau and Comex (who you know from their infamous Rolex contracts). While this watch was a superlative diver, it was roughly twice the cost of the Rolex Submariner, and thus it never caught on with consumers. So now that the PloProf has reached cult status, Omega has gone ahead and re-released this weird looking diver with a co-axial movement for 2009. It looks JUST like the original, and is now rated to 1200 meters, twice the depth rating of the 1960s version. It also comes on the choice of three new straps, the Shark (pictured to the right), or a black or orange rubber strap that is adjustable to fit over diving suits.Unfortunately for many of us, the updated PloProf will still be rather expensive. After all, you are getting a Zenith Chronomaster El Primero T 40mm Chronomaster T Open XZE320 watches co-axial movement in a legendary design, a chronometer rating, and a case good to 1200 meters below the succes. Selling price will be around $7500 when available in a few months. This is a watch we've always loved in the vintage form (we can't tell you how many times we've tried these on at Antiquorum previews) and we love the idea of a 2009 refresh. The only downside to this is that even more attention will now be paid to the original, thus driving up selling prices. Click here for more information and pictures of the Omega PloProf re-release.

The Rolex Submariner is a watch that needs no introduction (and yet it seems like we give you one every time we write about it). Regardless, it's a classic, and today we are featuring the one that started it all. This is a Rolex Submariner reference number 6204, which made its debut in 1954 at Basel world, although it Zenith Chronomaster El Primero T 40mm Chronomaster T Open XZE320 watches went into production a year earlier. This particular watch is in excellent condition, comes with the original Rolex bracelet, gilt dial, bezel, and mercedes hands; essentially everything you could ask for in a watch like this. What is interesting to note is that only some of the model 6204 Submariners have the word "Submariner" printed on the dial, as there is believed to have been some controversy regarding trademarks for that name. This particular watch does have the name printed on the dial. As the dealer notes, it does bear a striking resemblance to the Turnograph, as many early sports models did at that point. This watch is selling for $28,000, so it is certainly not for a novice collector. However, if there is one watch that always catches the eyes of collectors it's a Rolex Sports watch. Our guess is a lot of people out there would die to get their hands on the original Sub, so if you're interested we'd act quickly.Click here for more Zenith Chronomaster El Primero T 40mm Chronomaster T Open XZE320 watches details on this first generation Rolex Submariner in excellent condition.he original Omega PloProf (Plongeuer Professionnel) is many things to many people. One common idea is that it is simply the ugliest watch Omega ever produced. The company themselves poked fun at its ugliness in their ads saying "It may not look pretty on the succes, but deep down it's beautiful".
